Hello! My name is Daryl Ward. I grew up in Whittier, CA and graduated from Sierra H.S. in 1979. I attended Chapman University where I played on the baseball team for four years. After graduating from college I did my student teaching at Diamond Bar H.S. in the fall of 1984 and accepted a Physical Education teaching position at Sparks Middle School in the Hacienda/La Puente Unified School District. After teaching and coaching football, wrestling and softball at Sparks for 9 years I was fortunate to land a job at South Pointe in 1993. This is my second tour of duty in the WVUSD. My first teaching experience was in the fall of 1984 at Walnut H.S. I also coached baseball from 1984 - 1986 at Diamond Bar H.S. where I was very fortunate to be a part of the 1985 CIF championship Brahma baseball team. 

 

I love teaching P.E. My students are fun to work with and some of them even laugh at my Dad Jokes. The 2022-23 school year is my 39th year teaching and, who knows? It may be my last.
