Our School Site Council Needs YOU!

The School Site Council is a state-mandated organization of school staff, parents and students, who meet during the school year to develop or revise the School Improvement Program (SIP), consider the SIP annual budget, and make recommendations on the implementation of the Program.  A School Site Council (SSC) is required because our school receives special state and federal program funds to help students meet District Standards.

Parent members of the council have an opportunity to discuss school programs with staff in a working meeting, learn more about every academic program, and recommend improvements that affect all our students.

This year we have 1 parent opening and 2 parent alternate openings.  If called upon to serve on School Site Council, it will require five afternoon meetings throughout the school year on the 4th Tuesday of the month from 2:45-4:15.  If you are interested in participating, please return the lower portion of this letter by Friday, October 26TH.  We will be running elections from October 30-November 9th.

For additional information, please contact Mrs. Susan Arzola, at 909/595-8171.
