Have you ever built a robot? Have you ever launched a rocket? Blast into success with South Pointe Middle School’s STEAM Summer School experience. The focus areas will be in the integration of Science, Engineering and Math, with a “hands-on” approach. Language Arts will be addressed through technical and expository reading and writing. This Title I Summer School program is designed to help students maintain and support their academic development in preparation for the upcoming school year. Emphasis will be placed on reading, writing, and mathematics instruction with a 21st Century approach.

The following information is provided to assist you in planning for your child’s participation in this exciting summer program:

• South Pointe Middle School will host the WVUSD Grades 7-8 Title I Summer School this year for entering 7th and 8th grade Title I students.

• Classes will meet June 2, 2014 until June 26, 2014, Monday through Thursday.

• Time: 8:00-11:30 a.m.
