Write the answer to the Essential Question on the "brick" from your teacher.  You must complete the handout before getting your brick.

 

Use Lesson 23 in your textbook and answer all questions.  We started these in class on Thursday.  Please finish it by Tuesday.

At the bottom of the assignment, answer the Essential Question:

How did the Han dynasty improve daily life in China?

Geography of China and Shang Dynasty quiz.  Study for the quiz by reviewing the chapters in the textbook and by playing the Quizizz on Google Classroom.

 

We looked at artifacts of the Shang Dynasty and completed the first page in class.  The second page is homework.  Please complete it using the textbook.

 

ISN p. 105 assigned on Monday. 

We will do a class activity starting Tuesday to unlock the secrets of Mohenjodaro.  ISN pgs 105-110 due Friday 1/17.

 

Review Lessons 13 and 14 in the textbook and play the Quizizz posted on Google Classroom.

 

Use textbook pages 138-139 to complete the Geography Challenge.  We began working on this assignment in class while other students are finishing up their presentations from last semester.  This assignment will substitute the project grade assigned to the other students before winter break.

 

Partner project.  Information, examples, and materials are provided on Google Classroom.  Project can be done on poster paper as well.  Please sign the sign up sheet in the classroom with your partner.  You will have two days in class to work on the project.  You and your partner are responsible for completing the assignment.  We will begin class presentations on Tuesday 1/7/20.

 

ISN pages 87-90 (Periods A, C page 87 exempt). Due Thursday 12/12/19

We are learning about the central beliefs of Judaism and the Jewish Diaspora.  We complete pages 87-88 in class and made corrections.  Students are responsible for finishing all pages by the deadline.

 

ISN pages 81-85 due Thursday.  We began pages 81-82 in class on Monday.  Pages 83-85 will completed in class and at home.  We have made corrections to several questions throughout the course of the lesson.  Students are responsible for completing all pages in the assignment by the due date.

Review Lessons 7-9 in your textbook

Replay the Quizizz games on Google Classroom

Complete the Study Guide on Google Classroom (study guide will be posted Thursday afternoon)

 

Create three event cards to add to our history timeline.  Due Tuesday 11/19/19

 

Use the timelines on pages 66-67 and 134 to help you answer the Timeline Challenge questions.

ISN pages 67-72 due Thursday 11/7.  Started in class on Monday and substitute gave the whole class period on Tuesday to work.  If students do not finish in class, it is their responsibility to complete it by the due date at home.  If students finish, there are options review questions on Google Classroom.

 

Read pages 81-87 in the textbook and finish the assignment on Pear Deck.  We started the assignment in class on Tuesday and continued on Thursday and Friday.  Whatever was not finished in class will be your responsibility to finish at home by Monday 11/4.  All information is in your Google Classroom.

 

If there are any technical difficulties, the same assignment can be found in your ISN in Lesson 8.

 

Log into BrainPop.com and watch Egyptian Pharaohs video.  Complete the worksheet and graphic organizer (printed on purple paper in class).  Due Thursday 10/24

 

Practice annotating the text.  Due on Wednesday 10/23

This lesson was assigned on Monday 10/14 after the test.  Students have a whole class period on Tuesday 10/15 to work on the assignment.

 

 

We began studying this lesson on Friday 10/4 and have worked on the first 2 pages in class with the teacher.  Whatever pages students don't finish in class is the students' responsibility to complete at home by Friday 10/11.

 

We learned about the 7 characteristics of a civilization on Thursday 9/26.  On Monday, we read from our textbook in Lesson 5 to see how ancient Sumer fit in with these seven characteristics.

We will be doing to Activity column in class on Tuesday.

 

 

Watch the lesson on Sumerians on Brainpop.com and complete both sides of the handout.  We had all class period on Wednesday to work on it.  If you did not finish in class, it is your responsibility to complete it by Friday.  If you need to use the laptop, please ask if you can come in during lunch or after school.  The library also has computers.

 

Lesson 4 pages are due on Wednesday.  Use pages 31-37 in the textbook or TCI app to complete the pages. 

 

 

Please do pages 20-22 for homework practice.  DO NOT DO PROCESSING. 

Lesson 3 pages 17-22 should be completed by Friday.  If students do not finish in class, they have the weekend to complete it before the due date on Monday.

 

We learned how to access the digital textbook through MyPortal.  Students worked on pages 18-19 in class.  We will review the answers on Thursday
